Musicaerial is an event in which the kite is an artwork and a musical element detecting the movements and sounds of the wind. For this project, Frouke Wiarda asked eleven artists to design a flying artwork. A kite-specialist turned them into flying kite-objects. Eleven composers and sound artists wrote and performed music for and with these new instruments, the sound sensitive kites.
